Episode 228: To Asia, With Love Cookbook Review

May 24, 2022 by Dinner Sisters

You all know the Dinner Sisters love a vegetable forward dinner. We can't get enough of platter salads, or noodles, or dumplings, or dessert for that matter. Hattie McKinnon's newest cookbook, To Asia, With Love, serves us all of our favorites. Tara's pick starts with all the essentials of an Asian pantry, and ends with all of our favorites. We all highly recommended this book and can't wait to cook from it again and again.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Chickpeas, and Edamame with Ginger Scallion Oil

Betsy made: Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Chickpeas, and Edamame with Ginger Scallion Oil, Green beans with Black Bean sauce, and Dumpling salad. "The dumpling salad could be a great picnic food. Really, I just want to make dumplings!"

Tara made: Life Changing Udon, Cold Peanut Butter Green Tea Noodles with Cucumbers, Kimchi and Mushroom “Sausage Rolls”, Sweet Potatoes with Black Lentils, Soy Sauce Brownies. "I've made the Life Changing Udon so many times. It's a family favorite."

Kate made: Soy Sauce Chow Mein with an Egg, Hong Kong Scrambled Egg Sandwich, with a Side of Milk Tea, Condensed Milk French Toast, Peanut and Coconut Mochi Muffins "The Condensed Milk French Toast might be the perfect food."
